Love Me Pills by AID
Love Me Pills by AID
AID was conceived through Artificial Insemination by Donor. Now, they’ve found a new kind of baby daddy: Artificial Intelligence.
Using AI as both collaborator and conceptual “donor,” AID intentionally leans into the recognizable aesthetics, visual clichés, glitches, and familiar styles of machine-generated imagery. Rather than pretending AI isn’t part of the creative process, AID makes the technology—and the uncomfortable questions surrounding it—the point.
The work plays with ideas of conception, authorship, originality, genetics, technology, and what it actually means to “make” something. If a human can be conceived with the assistance of a third party, why can’t an artwork?
AID takes the joke one step further: the works are priced according to the approximate cost of a basic IVF cycle in Los Angeles, $12,400–$22,000.
The result is assisted reproduction for art—part human, part algorithm, part donor, and entirely intentional.
